What You Will Need

To register online you will need your California driver license or California identification card number, the last four digits of your social security number, and your date of birth.

The application is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese. To pre-register to vote in California, you must: 

  • Be 16 or 17 years old, and 
  • Meet all of the other eligibility requirements to vote. 

You will automatically be registered to vote on your 18th birthday.
